While defining possible general roles that teams could be organizing themselves with, I thought how we could foster organic collaboration rather than repeating corporate fixation with roles and function.

Our current community narrative implies that we to pursue community objectives we organize in teams, and potentially within these teams we could start wearing the hats of an explorer, researcher, catalyst, connector, and coordinator.

To break the traditional structure I envision programs that are tailored to reach community objectives, and that on one hand connect better the “teams” who already tend to stay within their workstreams, repeating a vertical function in a traditional organization, and on the other it would let contributor serve tasks that are labeled as one of the above roles.
